GeoPoll CEO at NBS Meeting Tanzania.jpgThe GeoPoll team was honored to meet with Dr. Albina Chuwa, the Director General National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) of Tanzania, and her team.  Also at the meeting was Casmir Ndambalilo, Acting Director of Information from the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports.

During the very productive session, we agreed to:

  • Collaborate on guidelines for the collection for media measurement data in Tanzania, and
  • Hold a joint session for all interested parties to discuss these guidelines

Dr. Chuwa expressed her view that technological advancement plays an important role in the field of research, especially in shortening and improving the data collection process.  We agree!  During the meeting, we discussed with Dr. Chuwa the possibility of aiding the NBS in its ongoing efforts to improve data collection throughout Tanzania.  We stand willing and able to do so, and look forward to working with the NBS to determine how we can be most helpful.

We would like express our deep gratitude to the Director General, the Acting Director of Information and their colleagues for setting aside some of their valuable time to meet with us.  We look forward to their further guidance as we move forward together.
